So you want to change your life, but where do you begin?
How do you pick a Life Coach?
Self-proclaimed “Life Coaches” seem to be everywhere these days. “Digital content creators”, alleged gurus, and even licensed therapists are delving into the pond I swim in. This makes it more of a challenge to discern who is right for you than it ever has been.
I am not a flashy, social media influencer with a cult-like following and have no desire to be one. I am a seasoned life coach with vast experience and a deep desire to help others thrive. If you want to reconnect with your true self and become the badass you are meant to be, let’s talk!

This is my life’s purpose, and I am on a mission to help others reach higher ground.

Find Your Tribe!
It is imperative to find a coach that gets you! The real you—not the person you think you should be, not the person society tells you to be…but the person you are.
When I embarked upon my journey to become a coach, options for certifications were slim to none. The only coach I wanted to learn from was Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins doesn’t refer to himself as a “Life Coach,” but he is a master at this craft. I began my life coaching education with Tony Robins and have expanded on that over the past decade. My relentless quest to build on that foundation and become a better coach is ongoing!
Motivating Factors to Life Coaching
From as far back as I can recall, I had the insight to see that many of my life experiences were not quite right, even though everyone in my bubble was in denial and cosigning some sort of bullshit I refused to pretend didn’t exist.
I wanted to understand the dysfunctional dynamic present within my family of origin and break the cycle.
I’m not the biggest fan of reading, as I have ADHD and dyslexia, but when I am on a mission to figure something out, I will devour information with the fervor of a nerdy bookworm on steroids! At the ripe age of 10, I purchase a book on Codependency with my very own hard-earned money. The bookstore was brand new to my local mall, and “codependency” was a relatively new phrase back then. When I opened the first page, I felt overwhelmed as it was telling my story.
There were an infinite number of parallels in that book and I felt a calling to help others identify and overcome such dynamics. I was excited to share all I had learned and help others feel seen and heard—to instill hope and guide them on a journey of healing and growth.
Before I was ready to help others, I needed to experience and overcome my own pain and adversity. While I never want to walk through those lackluster experiences again, I know they are what has made me the life coach I am today.
Stepping Stones to Life Coaching
My ever-changing career path. Regardless of the profession I was in at the time, the common theme was transformation and helping others. From early on, long before the term life coach existed, I found myself functioning as one in every job I held.
The day I decided to begin studying for my life coaching certification, I was working as a personal trainer. I had been working with a client whose story was so moving, I couldn’t listen anymore without helping on a deeper level. Counting reps in a gym while listening to her angst was doing nothing to help this woman get unstuck! She needed support, guidance, resources, and a trustworthy confidant.
The issues presented were out of my scope of practice, so I decided to expand my scope of practice! I hugged this person, provided a referral, went home, and registered for my life coaching certification. At the time I was going through a divorce—I was newly sober, painfully exhausted, and completely broke. I was determined though! I invested every cent I had, and every ounce of energy, and focus I could muster whilst raising 2 kids solo and rebuilding my life.
It’s amazing how much more energy and motivation have when we are deeply passionate about something and in alignment with what we are being called to do.
The Jump From Listening to Helping
Today I am blessed to be able to share my knowledge, wisdom, experience, strength, and hope to help others reach higher ground. Few things bring me more joy than helping others find their way. For me, coaching is not about helping the masses. Coaching is about helping one person at a time. We all deserve someone to lift us up and give us their undivided attention.
If you feel like you are drifting or merely existing, and you are ready to grow and thrive, connect with me! I would love the opportunity to learn how I can help you reach higher ground with life coaching!
